The Department of Science Education was established in 2011 within the Department of Elementary Education at the Faculty of Education, Yıldız Technical University, and began offering active instruction in the 2012–2013 academic year. A total of 108 students—93 undergraduate and 15 graduate students—are currently enrolled in the department.
